WELCOME TO
ABDALLAH TEMPLE NO. 189

Abdallah Temple No. 189 began in 1972 as Abdallah Temple U.D. Nobles Charles Ramsey and Aaron Lightner, who were members of Khalif Temple No. 144 in the Oasis of Greensboro, ignited their endeavor to create an Oasis and a Temple in the neighboring city of High Point, North Carolina. Their motivation gain traction as brothers of the Masonic order, in and around the High Point area, gained interest in their vision. Their vision caught the interest of Noble Bobby Davis, Noble Earl Jones and Noble Thorney White, Thomas Fuller. Also included in this interest Brothers Bobby Ingram, Max Ingram, William Payne, VK Long, Theodore Crump, and Wayne Talbert. This added to the ingredients that were needed to make this dream become a reality.
In 1973, Abdallah Temple U.D, manifested into Abdallah Temple No. 189 with Noble Thorney White as the Deputy of the Oasis of High Point and Noble Aaron Lightner as the Temple's first Illustrious Potentate. These Nobles, at the time of their youth, were the catalyst that motivated the younger Nobles of today in the Oasis of High Point. The primary mission of Abdallah Temple No. 189, as it is of all Temples of the Nobility across the globe, is to assist our communities and enhance the stability in society through our charitable works.
As Shrinedom is known as the playhouse of Free Masonry, this is only a metaphor that is expressed through our uncandid wit in our celebrations at our conventions, parades, and local festivities. These festivities are a way for us to display the fruits of our harvest in our fraternal entrepreneurship of our charitable works as we give back to our communities. Allah has blessed us over the years to continue our works and expand our membership.
